We are extremely saddened to learn that legendary actress Dame Diana Rigg has passed away.
Despite her starring roles in classic British television and film such as On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, The Avengers, and Game of Thrones, Rigg was best known to Muppet fans and the world as one of the most prominent human stars of The Great Muppet Caper: Lady Holiday.
In recent rewatches of The Great Muppet Caper, we took note of how perfect Rigg’s performance is. Her confidence and subtle humor as Lady Holiday is an absolute delight to watch, and we hope you’ll take special notice of how much she brings to the Muppet canon the next time you revisit the film as well.
