Diamond Select’s line of Muppet action figures gave us some great toys… until after Series 3, when it seemed to abruptly stop. What would happen to the Sam, Rizzo, Dr. Teeth, Zoot and Swedish Chef figures we had been promised? Would any of them ever see the light of day?
We got a glimmer of hope when the Diamond folks told us at Toy Fair this year that a Swedish Chef figure was still a possibility. And here’s another glimmer: The Chef is listed for pre-order at BigBadToyStore! According to the product description, it comes with “Table full of cooking supplies” and Camilla the Chicken. That means Camilla is the most represented character in this action figure line, because she was previously released with the Gonzo figure!
The toy is selling for $22.99, and listed as being available “4th quarter 2018.” Which is a bit pricey and a bit of a wait, but come on, what are we going to do? NOT buy a new Swedish Chef action figure? Don’t be preposterous.
And if this sells well enough, maybe… maybe… we’ll get that Zoot and Dr. Teeth so our Electric Mayhems will finally be complete. We can dream, anyway.
