This year’s Academy Award nominations have been announced, and The Muppets is on the list! (You can see the complete list of nominees here.) As we hoped, the movie got a nod in the Original Song category… but it wasn’t the song we were expecting. “Man or Muppet” will be going up against a song called “Real in Rio” from the movie Rio. And those are the only two nominees in that category, so if the Muppet song doesn’t win, we’ll all cry. Meanwhile, “Life’s a Happy Song” got left in the cold, but that’s okay, because we still love it.
