We are extremely saddened to learn that Alex Trebek, longtime host of Jeopardy! has passed away at the age of 80.

In addition to over 35 years as the host of TV’s most popular game show, we also remember him for his work with the Muppets.

In 2005 and 2006, Sesame Street and Jeopardy! crossed over, with the Sesame characters appearing to help provide answers on the game show, and Trebek appearing on Sesame Street. You can view a few of these clips below.

In 2005, Trebek also shared a bit of screen time with Kermit and Miss Piggy on the red carpet of the Daytime Emmy Awards.

Naturally, it’s great to see Trebek play such a distinct role in Muppet canon. We’re proud to include this legendary TV personality among those who’ve spent time with our favorite puppets, and we’ll miss him dearly.
